Logistics Boosts Blue Economy Shandong Yantai Port'S First Quarter Throughput Increased By 18%
In the first quarter of this year, the Yantai port group completed 44 million 430 thousand tons of cargo throughput, equivalent to the total throughput of the whole year in 2005, an increase of 18.3% over the same period last year. The container throughput reached 387 thousand standard boxes, an increase of 25.9% over the same period last year. The growth rate of two indicators is higher than that of the coastal ports in the whole country by 8 and 15 percentage points respectively.

After the commissioning of last year's liquefied dock, the western port area is currently stepping up the construction and preliminary work of key projects related to the core competitiveness of Yantai Zibo 450 km pipeline, ore terminal and crude oil terminal. It is expected that the oil terminal and shore terminal will be ready for commissioning this year.
The Longkou port large coal base is under construction. The 6 deep water berths were approved by Shandong Province in March this year. The 27 berths built in the port area are all open to the outside world.
The large container terminal in Zhifu bay port has the conditions for commissioning.
The Deepwater berth No. 8 of Penglai port is being completed and ready to go into operation.

In the passenger and cargo ro ro pportation, it has worked closely with more than 10 automobile manufacturers in China to form the characteristic plate of rolling stock logistics for commercial vehicles, and open 5 trucking routes to Africa, South America, and Dalian, Shanghai and Guangxi.

Yantai port group strengthens internal coordination and production organization, improves the efficiency and quality of loading and unloading, and closely links with railways, ports and other departments to dig out the potential of three modes of railway, highway and waterway pportation, and the volume of freight forwarding is increasing rapidly.
In March 1st, the port area of Penglai ushered in the largest cargo ship in China, the Pakistan Chet tyre, which averages 10500 cubic meters of logs every day and night, creating a new record of domestic timber unloading.
In March 8th, Longkou Port completed the task of discharging 28 thousand tons of wood chips on the first day passenger ship in only three days and nights, which was 12 hours ahead of the other ports in China.
At present, Yantai port group has developed 9 famous brand names of Shandong Province, such as "meticulous material, service to root" timber loading and unloading, central and non general cargo liner, and big ladle cement efficiency. Among them, "Yantai port passenger pport" and "Yantai port hardcover fertilizer" have been registered trademarks in the State Trademark Office.
