Ningxia has an area of 66 thousand and 400 square kilometers with a total population of 6 million 400 thousand.

Due to resource endowments and other reasons, the industrial economy is mainly heavy chemical industry, but the autonomous region attaches great importance to the development of light textile industry. At present, the textile industry has become one of the 5 pillar industries of the industrial economy in the autonomous region. It has formed a complete industrial system which is mainly characterized by cashmere products, halal food, biological fermentation, paper making, wine and new textile, and more than 30 industries coexist.

In the past 2007-2011 years and 5 years, the main business income of above scale textile and light industry has reached an average annual growth rate of 24%, and the profit has increased by more than 30% per year.

In 2011, the total industrial output value of the whole industry reached 46 billion 800 million yuan, and the number of enterprises with sales income of more than 20 million yuan increased to 223, with more than 500 million yuan and 20 employees and 160 thousand employees.

This year's economic environment is very complex. We overcome the difficulties and implement the five major strategies of key industries, project driven, park construction, technological innovation and brand cultivation, maintaining the steady growth of the whole industry.

In 1-5, 246 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size finished 15 billion 556 million yuan in gross industrial output value, an increase of 24.92% over the same period last year, and the industrial added value reached 3 billion 605 million yuan, an increase of 14.04%.

Textile and garment products exported 258 million yuan, an increase of 39.46%.

Compared to the developed textile industry, Ningxia

The scale of the industry is small.

In 2011, 45 Textile Enterprises above Designated Size completed 10 billion 727 million yuan in total industrial output value and 10361 employees.

But Ningxia's textile and garment industry has its own characteristics and great prospects for development.

First, the cashmere industry has developed into a characteristic and advantageous industry.

There are nearly 100 cashmere processing enterprises in the region, of which 41 are above scale enterprises. In 2011, the total industrial output value was 10 billion 329 million yuan, 3 million 390 thousand of cashmere sweaters were produced, and 10047 tons of carcashmere Cashmere (including velvet strips) were produced.

Ningxia cashmere produces only 2% of its raw materials, but it accounts for over 60% of the country's total circulation and rough processing, accounting for more than 50% of the world's total, and exports account for 35% of the country's total.

Ningxia cashmere industry has international first-class production equipment, and has all kinds of cashmere products from cashmere raw materials, no plush to cashmere, cashmere yarn, cashmere sweater, cashmere clothing and other industrial chain.

We have built two major cashmere industrial parks, Lingwu, Tongxin, cashmere, Jiayuan, Rongchang, de Hai, master, Sheng Hai, St. snow velvet and other seven groups, and become the important cashmere processing and distribution base in China and even the world.

Cashmere industry has become a beautiful business card for the world to know Ningxia and understand Ningxia.

Two is the garment industry relying on brand to accelerate development.

In recent years, the garment industry has been developing rapidly in the whole region. The cashmere clothing enterprises represented by Bank of China, Mai Liyan, Rongchang and other companies are represented by Hui, Chuan, Jiayuan, and so on. The fur clothing enterprises represented by 10000 antimony and the company of Ningxia and the fur clothing enterprises represented by Chengfeng industry and trade and Western fur companies constitute the "Four Golden Flowers" of the clothing enterprises in the country.

At present, Ningxia has 1 famous brands in China and 3 famous trademarks in China. Cashmere enterprises have more than 400 exclusive stores in the whole country.

Three is the wool textile industry to form a certain scale.

There are two wool textile parks in Wuzhong Litong District, the wool textile industrial park and the Ningning and town wool textile park. 42 enterprises are entering the park, which is a new economic growth point of our textile industry.

Four is the construction of Ningxia eco textile industry demonstration garden to create new industries.

In September 21, 2011, the national development and Reform Commission formally approved the implementation plan of Ningxia Yinchuan to undertake industrial pfer (ecological textile) demonstration zone.

The autonomous region takes the demonstration area core Park - Ningxia ecological textile industry demonstration garden as the autonomous region's "No. two project".

The demonstration garden is located in the southeast of Helan County, Yinchuan. It covers an area of 40000 mu, mainly based on colored polyester fiber and downstream industries. It also includes other non polluting textile industries such as chemical fiber and wool textile, cashmere textile, high-grade cotton textile, clothing, home textiles, industrial textiles, textile machinery and so on.

The first phase of the project will invest 50 billion yuan, and the ecological textile industrial cluster will be built initially by 2015. The total industrial output value is expected to reach 80 billion yuan.

After years of efforts, Ningxia's textile and garment industry has the following advantages:

First, the industrial foundation is good.

After years of development, Ningxia has preliminarily formed the advantages of cashmere processing, wool textile, suit, fur, and Hui clothing.

In particular, the cashmere industry has a relatively high level of agglomeration and technology, and the design level is world-class, with a relatively complete industrial chain.

Two, the low cost is more obvious.

Ningxia has abundant labor resources, abundant land reserve resources, relatively low price of land, water and electricity, and the price of industrial electricity is only 1/2 of the eastern part. The price of raw coal is only 1/3 of the eastern part.

And with the improvement of modern logistics, government environment and investment environment, Ningxia's low cost advantage will be more obvious.

Three, raw material supply has advantages.

Ningxia's textile raw materials include cashmere, wool, fur and so on.

At present, the upstream raw materials of chemical fiber projects are also being demonstrated and prepared, which will provide sufficient raw materials for the development of the textile industry.

Four, governments at all levels attach great importance to it.

The structural contradiction of Ningxia's industrial economy is more prominent, and the proportion of heavy industry accounts for about 85%.

Therefore, the Autonomous Region Party committee and government attach great importance to the development of light textile industry, and governments at all levels and relevant departments have increased support for the light textile industry, formulated various preferential policies to promote the optimization and upgrading of the textile and garment industry.

About the cashmere fair Costume Art Festival.

In order to give full play to the role of the exhibition economy, we have held the three international cashmere fair and the two costumes costumes Festival from 2006 to 2010, which has played a good role in promoting the development of the industry.

In September this year, the regional government will jointly organised the fourth China Ningxia international cashmere fair and the third Western China (Yinchuan) costumes and Arts Festival with the Federation of China textile industry.

The previous several costumes and arts festivals and cashmere fairs have been very successful. This year, we should take the whole industry's strength and make persistent efforts to do better.
