In 2012, Christian Dior experienced a crucial personnel change. Creative director John Galliano was ordered to leave because of the racial discrimination scandal.

The design team of the fashion house has not been in charge for more than a year, and finally the LVMH group clapper, the Belgian Raf Simons, took over.

After entering the 30 fashion house of Montaigne Avenue, Christian Dior, there are many other professional challenges to meet him, as well as many cameras to shoot the upcoming documentary "Dior and me".

8 weeks later, the first Gao series was to be handed over. After hearing the news, Raf Simons sighed deeply and turned his gaze aside. Generally speaking, the Gao Ding series took 4 to 6 months, and he did not have the experience of women's costume design in the past.

In the global trailer, we saw the 44 year old Raf Simons, who first met with Dior Gao Ding staff, said, "I've never done it before.

The studio tailor, dressed in a white coat, said, "we will help you."

Raf Simons

Relying on self-learning fashion design to enter the fashion industry, has served as the famous German minimalist brand Jil Sander chief designer, and has its own brand name Raf Simons and sub line Raf by Raf Simons.

Avant-garde, pioneer, refused to follow the fashion rules. The models of their own brands are all ordinary teenagers picked up from the streets of Antwerp. He has also covered the faces of models with headscarves, hoping that models can show their independent personality without relying on their faces.

Dior has chosen such a unique designer from a number of candidates. Can he continue the French noble and elegant temperament and wash the former designer Galliano's symbolic theatrical expressionism? Even his working partner has reservations about his ability.

In the two months running with the time, the design team has been thinking, drawing, and pushing back. The tension has always been a constant atmosphere. It shows the pressure behind the scenes of the luxury brand and the legendary past of the brand. Fortunately, the team's tolerance, warmth and playful touch give us a chance to breathe.

Dior and I also record the process of garment sewing, model selection, show preparation, and show dress rehearsal, until the 2012 autumn and winter advanced custom series Paris conference.

Elle fashion review Daphne Merkin watched the movie "Dior and I" after the media showed that the documentary was the best film in her mind about the theme of the fashion industry. She said, "the movie will be handed to the tailor who is wearing lab white gowns and a stitch of work.

More importantly, we see the characteristics of the brand founder Christian Dior and the current creative director Raf Simon on the screen - modernism and classical tradition.

In 2014, Dior and I won the award of the Seattle International Film Festival documentary jury.

Director Frederic Tcheng visited the US AFI Docs Documentary Film Festival. "The fascinating part of documentaries is that they don't need to make fictional content. All characters and stories are ready-made. They only need to capture their natural expressions and organize them."

These unchoreographed content happens to be an attraction to outsiders.

Before that, Frederic Tcheng also directed another two films about fashion industry. They are the description of Valen, Diana Vreeland's "Diana Vreeland:The Eye Has to Travel", and Valentino, the last king of the legendary fashion designer Valen: Valentino:The Last Emperor.

"Dior and I" official website information shows that the film will first land in Russia and Taiwan, China in March 6th.

It will be shown in the UK in March 16th and the United States will wait until April 10th.

In mainland China, though Tencent will not buy the big screen, the Tencent has bought the exclusive copyright in the mainland of the documentary. The interface reporter is informed that the film is expected to be released in June 1st.

If not, the documentary about luxury brand Tiffany will be released this spring.

According to the women's wear daily, the film has been filmed in the documentary "Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's" director Matthew Miele palm mirror, focusing on Tiffany founder Charles Lewis Tiffany how to develop the company into a world-renowned jewelry brand.
