On May 16, the seminar on the draft of the Safety Code for Dust Explosion Protection in Textile Industry for review was held in Jiangyin. Relevant principals from the Emergency Management Department, the emergency management departments of Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Shenzhen City, and the powder explosion sub standard committee of the National Safety Standards Committee attended the meeting and put forward requirements for the revision of the standard. Dong Chunxing, President of China Hemp Textile Industry Association, Jing Shenquan, Vice President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, Shi Jianzhong, Professor of Wuhan Textile University, the main drafter of the standard, and representatives of Weiqiao Group, Nantong Dasheng, Wuxi Yimian, Jiangsu Jingya and other cotton textile enterprises and equipment manufacturing enterprises, research institutes and other institutes attended the meeting.

According to the plan for the preparation and revision of the national standard for emergency management, the standard of the Dust Explosion Protection Safety Code for Textile Industry (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the Draft for Comments) had completed public comments collection before May 9. Before the standard text was submitted for approval, it was fully listened to again by key cotton textile enterprises, research institutes, equipment enterprises Opinions of design institute and other parties.

Before the meeting, the China Hemp Textile Industry Association sent a letter of inquiry to key flax spinning enterprises, and Jinda, Jijia, Joy and other companies proposed amendments. At the meeting, Chairman Dong Chunxing put forward three comments on the Draft for Comments: First, in the current Appendix A of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Textile Engineering (GB 50565-2010) and the Safety Code for Dust Explosion Protection of Linen Fiber Processing Systems (GB 19881-2005) In the new standard, "the fire hazard category of the flax production workshop belongs to Class C, and the fire hazard category of the dust removal room (including the dust removal fan room) of the flax enterprise belongs to Class B". In the new standard, it is firmly required that the fire hazard category of the flax production workshop should continue to maintain the property of Class C, and should not be increased to Class B. Otherwise, the existing flax enterprises cannot meet the requirements of the new standard, resulting in comprehensive shutdown. Second, it is proposed in the Draft for Comments that "the pipe network of the dust removal system and the return air trench need to be equipped with pipe network monitoring devices". We suggest that it be revised to clean the pipe network of the dust removal system and the return air trench regularly to prevent blockage. Third, it is suggested that the dust removal equipment purchased and used before the implementation of the new standard should follow the original standard.

After the meeting, the standard preparation team will sort out and revise the standard according to the feedback of the meeting, to ensure that the content of the standard revision is scientific and reasonable, and meets the actual needs of enterprises in the textile industry.
